Bioenvironmental Engineering
The primary focus of Bioenvironmental Engineering is to identify, assess and determine control measures to protect the health of Air Force personnel in the workplace. This department provides health surveillance through sampling, identification, quantification, assessment, risk communication, control and documentation of potential exposures. In addition, it plans, prepares for, and provides real time chemical-biological-radiological, nuclear response, ensures safe potable and non-potable water and performs specialized vulnerability assessments for drinking water, toxic industrial chemicals and toxic industrial materials.
